We love our restaurant! Avenue offers bistro classics in a welcoming restaurant setting. The house-made creations, artisan cheese, local beer and wine, - a little bit of German stuff too:-)) locally sourced ingredients, and seafood selections showcase the bounty of Vancouver Island. Originally built as a local convenience and grocery store called the 'Jolly Giant', the building was converted to the Avenue Bistro restaurant in 2007. Avenue is family owned and offers an 'upscale casual' dining experience. The service is warm and engaging - casual but correct. Variety of seating choices available including a seasonal patio, comfortable booths, and popular lounge area to enjoy a beverage or watch the game.

Matthias and Claudia Lingkost with there daughter Larissa and her boyfriend Alec are looking forward to serve the community.
Matthias grew up in Hospitality in his parents restaurant. He is working as Chef since more than three decades. Back in Germany he had his own Restaurant in the Frankfurt area. He was known as the best italian cook outside of Frankfurt.
Claudia worked most of the times in an office, as bookkeeper or general Manager. She always loved to work with and for people.
As a powerful team they worked together in Insurance for twelve years to have more quality time with their daughter growing up.
Larissa will help their parents to settle and her goal since grade 4 is to study law. She is approved at the University of Victoria and will start fall 2024 until than her and her boyfriend are working in the restaurant
Another family member is the dog. A Presa Canario named Sunny.
